FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers for a safe, straightforward scooter rental.

01

What are the basic eligibility requirements?

The main driver must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driving licence suitable for the selected vehicle category. Eligibility is verified before handover.

02

What do I need at pickup?

Bring the original valid driving licence, an identity card or passport, and the payment method used for the booking. Additional documents may be required depending on the issuing country.

03

When do I pay and how does the security deposit work?

Pay the full rent by card through Stripe or by bank transfer to confirm your booking. The refundable security deposit is separate and shown in the booking summary. The agreement is signed on paper at pickup.

04

How much fuel is provided?

The fuel level is recorded at handover. Return the vehicle with the same level unless your booking summary explicitly states otherwise.

05

What happens if I return the scooter late?

Contact us as soon as possible. Any extension requires approval and depends on the next booking. Any charge is shown in the terms and the agreement you accept.

06

Can somebody else ride the scooter?

Only drivers who have been declared, verified and included in the rental agreement may ride the vehicle.

07

Can I ride on unpaved roads?

No. Vehicles are intended for lawful use on paved public roads. Off-road use or riding in prohibited areas is not allowed.

08

Can I travel outside Greece?

Only with Rent Moto’s prior written approval and where the insurance and the specific rental terms permit it.

09

What should I do after an accident or breakdown?

Stop safely, contact Rent Moto immediately and follow our instructions. After an accident, notify the relevant authorities and do not admit liability without an official record.

10

What happens if keys or equipment are lost?

Lost or damaged keys, helmets and additional equipment are recorded and may be charged at the actual replacement cost under the accepted terms.

11

What is the cancellation policy?

For cancellation at least 7 full days before scheduled pickup, 100% of the amount paid for the rental and cancelled extras is refunded. For cancellation less than 7 days but at least 48 hours before pickup, 50% is refunded. Less than 48 hours before pickup or in a no-show, no refund is due unless the law requires otherwise or the booking explicitly states otherwise.

12

Are scooters tracked by GPS?

Some vehicles may use GPS for safety, theft prevention and incident management. Use, access and retention of data are explained in the Privacy Policy.
